The Asian U20 Athletics Championships is an intercontinental event organized by the Asian Athletics Association (AAA), specifically held for youth athletes under the age of 20. It is widely regarded as the highest-level youth athletics event in Asia. The inaugural championships were held in Jakarta, Indonesia, in 1986, and have since been held biennially. This event not only does it help develop youth athletics across the continent, but it also serves as a key qualification event for the World U20 Athletics Championships. This year is the 22nd edition of the championships, taking place over four consecutive days from May 28 to 31 at the Kai Tak Youth Sports Ground.
